I want to approve a member’s recommitment to a CORE program.[VIDEO PLACEHOLDER] SCRIPT: In this video, we'll quickly show you how to approve a member's CORE recommitment as a supervisor. During the recommitment period, employees will indicate their interest in returning to CORE on their member dashboard. Once submitted, you'll receive an email notification with the employee’s name and the CORE program they wish to recommit to. We recommend discussing the possibility of returning to CORE for the upcoming year with your employee beforehand. Please note that approving recommitment doesn't mean you must approve all future deployments for your employees in CORE. From the email, click the “Go to Supervisor Portal” button. After logging in with your government IDIR, you'll be directed to the supervisor portal Home screen. Under the “Pending Members List”, you'll see all your employees who are CORE members and their recommitment details. When they submit a recommitment request, their status will change from “Pending” to “requested”. This will allow you to approve or decline the request. Members may request to recommit to one or both CORE programs. For recommitment, you must provide approval for each CORE program separately. For example, Jake is requesting to return to both EMCR and BCWS. To approve Jake’s EMCR recommitment, click the dropdown field in the same row, select “Approve”, and click “Submit”. Submitting your approval sets Jake’s status to “Recommitted” for that program, and both Jake and his CORE coordinator will be notified. Note that once approval is given, it cannot be changed. And that's it! You've successfully approved a member's CORE recommitment. From the portal Home ApprovingRecomm-spvr.movFrom the portal Home page, navigate to the member whose recommitment you want to approve in the “Pending Members List”. In the same table row that the member is in, click open the dropdown field under the “Supervisor Approval” column. Note that you can only take action towards members whose recommitment status is “requested”. From the dropdown menu, select “Approve”. Click “Submit”. The member’s recommitment status will change to “Recommitted” and a submission confirmation message will appear in the banner above the table.

After approving a member’s recommitment, you can no longer change your decision. |
I want to decline a member’s recommitment to a CORE program.[VIDEO PLACEHOLDER] SCRIPT: As a supervisor, you may need to decline an employee’s CORE recommitment for various reasons. In this video, we’lll show you how to decline a recommitment request in the supervisor portal. Continuing with Jake’s example, to decline Jake’s recommitment request to BCWS, simply click on the dropdown field in the same row, and select “Decline”. Then click “Next” to be directed to a “Reason for Decline” survey window. You are required to indicate the reason why you are declining a member’s recommitment to CORE. To provide a reason, click open the dropdown menu and select the reason for declining the member’s recommitment request. If your reason is not listed, select “Other” and provide further details in the comment box below. Then click “Submit Reason” to complete the process. Jake’s recommitment status will change to “declined”, meaning he will not be a deployable CORE member for the upcoming year. Both Jake and his CORE coordinator will be notified of your decision. While it is expected that you have communicated this reason to your employee beforehand, only CORE coordinators can see the reason you submitted from the portal. decline-spvr.movFrom the portal Home page, navigate to the member whose recommitment you want to approve in the “Pending Members List”.
