🎯 Bed Inventory Notes

Basic Info

  • Purpose of survey is to figure out how many beds within the HA are funded for each of the services/facility types offered, and which facilities these services are offered in.

  • Bed Info collected includes bed counts by facility, reported by each HA. Six HAs (including PHSA; excluding FNHA) report. The report also provides summaries of counts for each HA and provincial totals by facility type.

  • i.e. Survey date = June 30 and includes bed count from March 31 to June 30.

    • Can be pre-populated from DSR as well.

    • Validation Rule: This attribute is mandatory if facility falls into following survey categories: community, acute, ED, or Tertiary. If facility is in Supported category, then facility name is optional.

  • Site ID = SITE_ID - Can this be pre-filled from DSR? Not all sites in the survey are registered in the DSR, but the goal is to have all sites reported on the bed survey registered in the DSR.

    • Note: Site_ID will have to be a TXT field, as hospitals include an H.

 

Workflow

  • HSIAR sends out template along with definitions doc.
