Digital.gov.bc.ca currently use two services for metrics: Web Analytics, a service provided by GDX that collects user-level information, and; Sysdig Monitor, a service that provides hosting analytics specifically geared for Kubernetes, which can provide alerts when something goes wrong.
Web Analytics
Web Analytics, as provided by GDX, comes packaged as a javascript library, called Snowplow, that can be easily integrated into a web application. The data is then aggregated into a Looker Dashboard.
Access to the dashboard is controlled through a CMS Lite license. The licences are managed by GDX; If you need to manage the licences, you can email the GDX Help Desk ask to have them transferred. Once a license has been acquired, the dashboard should be accessible via https://intranet.qa.gov.bc.ca/analytics/digital. Log in credentials are IDIR based.
There are two standard dashboards available - Traffic and Content.
