CORE Team

Mission

On January 10, 2025, we aim to deliver a minimum marketable product (MMP) to assist BCWS and EMCR CORE Team Coordinators, Members, and Supervisors for 2025 recommitment to ensure we have the talent capacity for emergency and disaster response. The key features to be implemented as follows:

  1. Automation of recommitment to be enabled in January.

  2. Creation of a dashboard for supervisors to approve their employee’s recommitment.

  3. Creation of member profile and access for CORE Team members to log-in, edit information, and availability.

This solution will streamline the process of recommitment for BCWS & EMCR CORE Team Coordinators by reducing administrative burden. Additionally, the dashboard for supervisors will also enable them to approve their employees quickly to rejoin the program. Finally, the creation of a member profile and access for CORE Team members will make it easier for them to update their own information and schedule, reducing back-and-forth between members and the coordinators.

In May 31, 2024, we delivered a minimum viable product (MVP) to assist BCWS & EMCR CORE Team Coordinators attract new members to join the program to build our talent capacity for emergency and disaster response. The key features that were implemented are as follows:

  1. Consolidated two intake forms into one to create a single entry for the program.

  2. BCWS & EMCR to be able to review and approve pending applications on the dashboard.

  3. Search and filter the current BCWS CORE roster easily on the dashboard.

  4. A shared scheduler for members that selected to join both programs.

This solution will enable BCWS & EMCR CORE Team Coordinators to process new members and improve the experience of public servants who want to join the program by streamlining the application process. The scheduler will also help with BCWS knowing when a member is being deployed in EMCR and vice versa, making it easier for Coordinators to decide who to deploy.

In March 22, 2024, we delivered a MVP to assist EMCR CORE Team Coordinators to help find talent for emergency and disaster response. The key features that were implemented are as follows:

  1. Search and filter the current EMCR TEAMS roster easily on the dashboard.

  2. View and update availability status of EMCR TEAMS members within the scheduling system.

  3. Update EMCR intake form for public servants to fill out who want to join the EMCR TEAMS to garner new TEAMS members.

This solution will enable EMCR TEAMS Coordinators to efficiently communicate with potential and current EMCR TEAMS members, streamlining processes for training and deployment.
