Event Title: Common Service Enterprise Architecture

Meeting notes

  • Use Case for Tenant Management

    • Managing groups of form

    • Performing form to form data flows

    • Form to form workflows

    • Form Designs can be broken up into smaller steps where common form templates can be shared

Opens up a new way: Single step and multi step process

  • 30 Days:

    • CHEFS has a FORMSGPT service that uses generative AI to input a text prompt to get a form template so new users do not have to start from a blank form. this should reduce the learning curve.

      • Plain Language: Testing new AI capabilities for kickstarting form creation. The goal is to reduce the learning curve

    • CHEFS will deliver to Production a new form component "Map". We have a preview release being tested today. Some of the NROS (Natural Resources Online Services) use cases are looking at CHEFS more seriously now, specifically the Resource Roads team.

      • Plain language: Delivering a new map function for use cases with spatial considerations

    • CHEFS is now capable of enabling connections to secure APIs. This is being used by Health to implement Row Level Security features on drop down menus in form to limit the data to what the users are allowed to see. This opens up an enormous new set of use cases that CHEFS can support

      • Plain Language: Expanding adoption beyond Ministry of Health of the feature to make connections to secure APIs with row level security. features to limit the data to what the users are allowed to see.

    • CHEFS will introduce a Beta release of an Event Streaming/Message Queue (a service that decoupled CHEFS from the services that are subscribing to submission events) This is going to enable CHEFS to scale to provide integrations to 1000s of services. This will enable both public and secure subscription to data submission events. The data payload of the message queue supports encrypted payloads or the option to make them public. This opens up the use cases for proactive disclosure of data that is frequently the subject of FOI requests.

      • Introducing a new component (NATS "event streaming or message queue") for CHEFS to greatly increase its capacity to handle more messages between Line of Business Systems

  • 60 days:

    •

  • 90 days:

    • CHEFS is collaborating with teams in Digital Trust, Developer Experience, Platform Services, API Gateway Services on a service to support a more efficient way to manage the users and roles for groups of forms. The MVP for this capability will enable users of CHEFS to manage permissions to all of their form in one location. The use cases this open up will allow a line of business application to manage the users roles and groups for any common component that we onboard. This solution then become a User Roles on Common Components (UROCC)

      • Plain Language:
